| flightmight's Full Review: Liquid Glass Polish/Finish |
In the past couple of years I decided to do my own car detailing. I learned how to buff a car to get rid of scratches and polish up the clear coat. I have used a variety of products from both the US and Germany. Of all the products so far Liquid Glass is my favorite. Even if you don't use a machine to buff out your finish Liquid Glass should make marked improvements.
This is one of the easiest products to use also. I would suggest using their pre-cleaner first to prepare the surface. It would also be a good time to "clay bar"; you can get these at most auto stores.
Next, put on LG in a thin layer. I put it on "everything". Doorpost, glass, lights, just "everything". Then you simply buff it off, which takes very little effort. You have to wait 4 hours to put on another coat however. There is no rule on how long it last on your vehicle but I put on another coat about every six month, though I have heard some say that it makes it a whole year.
Though I can't find any research to support this, I think I have a lot less nicks in my finish from road debris.
The 20 dollar price tag is not that expensive in my book, there are a lot of products that cost much more. And, a can of this goes a long way since you only need to put on light coats.
The shine it gives off will depend some on your cars color. I have used it on a gray Toyota and it produced a mirror like shine. It doesn't give you that "wet" look like some waxed do...but wax can melt off your car in month in some cases.
