Well, I resorted to throwing out the old liquid white out that I had in my desk at home. I had to wait almost 5 minutes for one little spot to dry that I had put white-out on. I thought that 5 minutes was terribly long and I did not want to waste anymore time! Having used the correction tapes before at work, I decided I would find some to bring home to use instead of the liquid stuff!

The Product

The little dispenser that you hold to mark out the incorrect things is very comfortable for my hands. The dispenser is just over 3 inches long if you count the tip where the correction tape comes from. It is only 2 inches deep, fitting nicely in my grip and only a mere ½ an inch wide.

The dispenser has a slight inward curve where you hold on to it. The sections where you hold onto the dispenser is slightly textured to allow you to have a better grip than you could if you had a solid, shiny plastic dispenser to hold on to.

The dispenser also has a little groove where you put your index finger to help guide the correction tape and give you a little pressure when applying the tape to the paper.

The tape flows very easily from the dispenser and does not make much noise. You can hear the dispenser working when you are applying the correction tape to the paper; it makes an ever-so-quite hiss-type sound. You can barely hear it!

The dispensers that came in my two-pack were a medium blue and a medium green colored plastic. Both of which are see-through, allowing you to see how much correction tape you have left. It’s neat to watch it work. I realize it is only roller wheel turning inside, but it is self-contained and works very quickly without hassle!

The tip where the tape dispenses is a firm tip and it has about ¼ of an inch in width. It does not have any give to it and it does not move or bend back and forth. I am sure if you pushed hard enough, it would break. But, I have not had one of these do that to me yet! (Knock on wood.)

The DryLine® product seems to work very well and I have not experienced much of a problem using the correction tape, as I have with other dry tape type white-out. Sometimes, other types of dispensers seemed to lose their tension, but I have yet to find one of these that does that. These work pretty well!

Pricing on these items was exceptionally reasonable. I found the two-pack in Wal-Mart and it was under $5.00 for both of them. You could probably find a decent sale on them or possibly find them for a lower price. But, overall, since they last a long time, that amount is not bad. These contain over 30 feet of correction “film” as this brand calls it. I don’t know about you, but that’s a lot of correcting that can be done.

I anticipate between these two dispensers, I will be fine for the next year! Most of my work is done on the computer anyway, and I do very little actual typing or even completing of forms. But, when I do make a mistake and I don’t want to reprint a form and redo it all, this gives me a terrific and super quick fix that is really hard to notice (unless you are using color paper).

This film is a bright white. If you are using off-white or tan paper or any other color, this will stand out like a sore thumb. But, on standard white office and computer paper, this is hardly noticeable.

Another great thing about this, if you did not know it already, is that you can immediately write on the white-out area once you put down the dispenser! You don’t have to wait or blow on it or fan the paper back and forth. It’s ready to go when you have your pen or pencil in hand!

Overall Impressions

These correction tapes (or film as they refer to their product on the package) work wonderfully, are able to be written over in a matter of seconds and could not be any easier to use. If you want quick correction capabilities, this product really does a fantastic job!
