| Magick1's Full Review: Little Debbie Cosmic Brownies 9oz |
Having a preschooler in the house with treat days for her class and treat days for her parents at work, we sometimes grab things that are quick and easy. Admittedly, these items are not the best, but an occasional, luscious brownie is fantastic, dont you agree?
Well, when we purchased this box of Little Debbie Cosmic Brownies, I was excited about the price, but amazed at how heavy this little box of 12 brownies felt. It felt like a weight rather than a box of sugary, sweet things!
The Product
These brownies are individually wrapped and they are easy to serve, or lay out for presenting without having to worry about them drying out. At the end of the day, if they are not all gone, they are easily packed again and easily transported home. Convenience, they say, has a price though. I will present that information in just a minute.
The brownies are about 3 ½ inches long, 1 ¾ inches wide and about a ½ inch thick. The weight, as per my kitchen scale, shows 2 ounces for 1 brownie. These brownies are THICK and dense.
I enjoy these decadent little treats, occasionally. I think its been a year or so since I have tried one of the Little Debbie snack cakes or the Cosmic Brownies. These brownies are brightly adorned with yellow, purple, pink, orange, green and blue dots or chocolate chips in a sugary coating. It makes them seem quite festive!
I find, when eating the brownie, it sticks to your teeth a little bit: it seems very moist, and as mentioned, dense. The crunchy little chocolate pieces can be somewhat disconcerting; as the brownie is so soft the crunch kind of shatters that! I like nuts on my brownies, and when I get that crunch, I fully expect walnuts or pecans. But, its just another rush of chocolate!

Whew, that is a lot of information. But, if it helps someone with allergies or that is trying to avoid a certain ingredient or two or three, I hope this information helps!
Overall Impressions
Even though the brownies are quite small, you definitely will get your sugar, chocolate, sweet fix by eating just one. They are almost too sweet to eat all in one sitting. I find that splitting it 2 or 3 ways and sharing it with my husband and daughter, tides our sweet tooth well enough, without overpowering any of us and making us crazy with sugar!
I havent had these for a very long time, and was happy to have a few left over after a treat day recently. They are quick, easy and inexpensive. If you are looking for a quick treat to take to work or for the class. Normally, we bring items that are healthier, but an infrequent sweet treat like this will send you into chocolate bliss without busting your pockets! Enjoy!
