I have loved Little Debbie Nutty Bars since I was a child. My mom used to buy me boxes of these delicious treats every week. When I moved out on my own, I didn't buy these for myself because they were a little too high in fat and calories. Now, I buy them on occasion for my son, and I can't help but indulge.
Package and Pricing
When I pulled up this item, I saw the well-known, yellow box up in the corner of the Epinions page; however, I noticed that the suggested retail price on the picture was $1.19, whereas the box I have at home right now says $1.39. Of course, I remember the days when it said 99 cents. At the local grocery store, I have to pay the suggested retail price, but at Wal-Mart they are always a bit cheaper. A box of Nutty Bars comes 12 to a box, and the bars are packaged in twin packs, so there are 6 packages in the box for those non-mathematicians out there. You can always find a twin pack at the gas station for 50 cents in the snack aisle. I would have to be desperate for a Nutty to do that because another 50 cents, and I could have a whole box.

Cookie Bars
If you've ever had a Nutty Bar, you know that they are bars of wafers layered with peanut butter and covered with chocolate. It's similar to a giant Kit Kat. When I was younger, I would pull the wafers apart and lick the peanut butter off, then eat the wafers separately. The bars aren't overly chocolately. The combination of the wafers, peanut butter, and chocolate make these a delicious snack.
Overall
If you're looking for a tasty snack and you love peanut butter and chocolate, Nutty Bars could be exactly what you're looking for. On the other hand, if you scroll back up and check out the total calories and fat in one package, you might change your mind. I have found on the website that they have introduced 100 calorie Nutty Bar snacks that are packaged individually. If I find these, I'll be sure to check them out. In the meantime, once in a while never killed anybody, right? Go ahead and indulge.
