Since my husband has left on his six month deployment I have been trying to find and do things that keep three kids occupied. My oldest being nine, well she can pretty much do her own thing, but my two and four year old, well that's a different story.
A few days ago I had to go to self help and get a weed eater to do my back lawn. As I was getting it, my son asks,"Mommy, can I help"? What is a mom to say. I told him that he could help using his own tools. Off to Walmart I went to find something that my son could help me with and knowing that my youngest daughter would want to help too, I had to get her something. Money is tight right now so I am searching high and low and this is when I come upon Little Landscaper Garden Hand Tools . For under two dollars I could not go wrong. I got two sets.
Now the adventure begins. I come home and by then the kids are on a rampage to help me. I tell them when the sun starts going down they can help. That just is not a good answer for a two and four year old. So good ole mom here makes a deal. I tell them they can start getting the weeds out for me and I will finish. We open their tools and they were very happy.
Little Landscaper Garden Hand Tools come with two tools. One is a spade with a bright red handle. The little rake or hoe depending on how you want to look at the tool, has a bright yellow handle. Both tools are very durable. There are no pointy edges at all. The handles are very easy for little ones to handle. The Little Tikes logo appears on the handles. The tools are about 8 inches long.
Now I will continue on with my story. My son and daughter love the deal and go to the back yard. About twenty minutes they both come in and say "Mommy, come here look no weeds"!
I go to the back yard and there is a mound of dirt and a nice little hole. I just started to laugh. The kids had so much fun. They may not know what weeds are but they have good imaginations.
Every day since I bought the Little Landscaper Garden Hand Tools both of my kids go out back and just have a blast with them. There is no chance of them getting hurt because the tools are not sharp in any area. I am very glad that I invested a few dollars in these tools. My kids are happy and I must say that it is the cheap toys that seem to make them the happiest.
