Pros: Durable - Quick Assembly
Cons: Harmful for young toddlers
The Bottom Line: I won't recommend this cart, because of the age limits (2-5). For preschoolers or even older toddlers it may be a great cart, but not for two-year olds.

Little Tykes makes such wonderful products that they are handed down from one child to the next in my family. From older brother to younger cousin, back to little brother and then back to the kid’s newest cousin, Little Tykes products receive a tremendous amount of abuse. The Little Landscaper Lawn & Garden Cart is no exception.
Let's Play Gardner
Before your child can utilize their Lawn & Gardner Cart, an adult needs to do some minor assembly. An ordinary hammer, the heel of a shoe or a brick will tap the wheels onto the cart. Once the axle and wheels are attached, it is off we go!
The cart comes in a bright red molded plastic. There will be no missing where your child is on your property. Little Tykes uses the same durable plastic, that may fade if left out in the sun, but will not crack or break, that they use on all their other outside toys.
The handle grip is the perfect size for little hands. It leaves enough space to easily hold onto the bar, but is not so wide that it is hard to maneuver. In the front of the cart rests two indentions. These are large enough to hold your Little Tykes watering cans, tools, gloves and even weeds. They securely carry your child's treasures without spilling over onto the sides. The main part of the cart itself is not actually that large. Perfect though it is for a child trying to haul dirt like Daddy. Even better is when your child uses it to collect all the toys scattered across the lawn. It also makes a great Easter basket, but whoa does it hold a terrific amount of candy.
Unlike a regular wheelbarrow there are two wheels to this Lawn and Garden Cart. In front of the wheels, Little Tykes has provided two stoppers that support the cart when not in use. But be careful, these stoppers and wheels make the cart look sturdy and safe.
Grab The Ice
A child screaming in pain is one of the most horrifying sounds. This was the sound I was greeted with when I came home yesterday. Being my youngest son is reaching the magic age of two, my hubby and I had no qualms about letting him play with the Lawn & Garden Cart. Little Tykes manufactures this cart, ruler of child safety. He is a few weeks shy of the age limit, but he is mature for his age.
But, he is still a toddler. Toddlers climb. That is their job. As a parent it is our job to give them a safe environment to do so. My husband thought nothing of letting my child reach in to get a toy out of the Landscaper Cart. With his back turned he didn't see our son climb in the cart. Turned back around he saw my son step to get out and the cart flip over forward. When cement and a toddler's head meet, nothing good can ever come of it.
Bye Bye Lawn and Garden Cart
Our Little Tykes Landscaper Lawn and Garden Cart has been banished into the garage shelving for a year or so. Our oldest at five doesn't have much interest in it and until our youngest can get out of it without getting goose eggs size lumps, we can do without this one toy. He gets enough bumps just running into trees.
