Pros: The doll has real life functions and features.
Cons: Very expensive for a doll.
I recently purchased the Little Mommy Walk and Giggle Baby doll for my young daughter. Originally the baby doll is very expensive and I normally would not have purchased it except for the fact that I got it at 75% off at a store. The doll retails for around $70 which is very expensive for what you actually receive.
The doll walks and crawls just as advertised, but does little else but talk and giggle. The doll weights quite a bit, I would estimate at least 5-6 pounds and comes with many accessories. It comes with a bib, a small blanket and a baby dog with leash attached. In order to get the doll to perform some of the functions listed on the box, you have to do things you would to a normal baby. For example, to get her to laugh, you tickle her. To get her to go from sitting to standing or standing to sitting you touch her stomach. She sings, pretends she is sleepy and talks to you.
The doll is very entertaining to a child depending on the child's age. Certain functions are ideal for certain ages, but 18mths is the youngest a child should use this toy due to the small accessories it comes with which they could easily swallow.
The baby doll does use 6 AA batteries, which can get expensive depending on how much the doll is used.
