I don't know how long Little People Mixie the Cement Truck has been hiding in the toy box but he was uncovered this past week much to Doodle's delight.

These sets for ages 1-5 are perfect for little hands & imaginations to have great fun and occupy idle minds.

The cement truck starts when the driver is pushed down. When the truck moves, the cement barrel bounces up and down and the newer one has blinking lights.

Since ours is an older version, we do not have the blinking lights, just the beeping noises when the truck is reversed and the bouncing barrel pops out two pieces of cement.

The cement pieces are 2 gray balls that load into the mixer.They are the size of a half dollar or a tad bit larger. The barrel moves up and down for realistic play.

The truck is brightly colored in yellow & orange with black wheels and a blue safety roll bar. The cement barrel is gray and actually turns.

The Little People cement driver is blonde and is chunky, perfect for small hands to grasp. He goes great with other play sets even though his attire is set for work. He holds a shovel in one hand and has a hard hat.

Buying these pieces separately is great for collecting all the Little People and is a lot easier to keep up with than buying the larger cities and homes.

The younger the child the more enjoyment they will get out of something as simplistic as this, yet the an older child would probably want every playset that makes a home, work site, barn, or school complete.

These are great gifts for children of all ages and gives them hours of imaginative play. It stimulates their senses, helps coordinate motor skills, and develops social skills as well.

Doodle enjoys them conversing back and forth, driving her cars from one end of the house to the other. She will sit and play with these sets for hours on end.

They are small enough to pack up and take with you-so your child can be entertained when not at home. We have the dump truck in the car for such occasions.

This requires two double A batteries and a Phillips head screwdriver in order to replace them.

There are no small parts with exception of the cement (balls) and they are large enough that any child would have a difficult time putting it into their mouth. It really is a parents judgment call, because Doodle never attempted to "taste" her toys, so these types of toys were always appropriate for her.
