For nearly five years we have had the Little Tikes 2 in 1 Snug and Secure Swing on our wood swingset.

The Little Tikes baby swing is made of the same heavy duty plastic that can be found on many other Little Tikes outdoor toys and products. The blue swing resembles an infant carrier. There is a red t-bar that flips up from the bottom of the swing. The t-bar is used to secure a baby into the swing. There are yellow adjustable straps with black clips that click into the t-bar. The swing attaches to the swingset using a yellow rope with metal hooks on the end. The hooks go through the metal hooks attached to the swingset.

The yellow straps go over the baby’s shoulders and click into the t-bar. They are removed from the t-bar by pushing a button. I found that the straps were difficult for me to adjust, so my husband usually had the task of readjusting the straps each year. My son was around 6 months old when we first started using the swing. The t-bar could get very close to the baby to hold him securely and tightly as long we had the straps properly set.

The 2 in 1 Snug and Secure Swing has been hanging from our swingset for almost five years. We don’t take it down during the winter months. For most of those years the swing spent a lot of the day in the shade. Last year we had to remove our tree and now it is in the sun all day long. The color of the seat has not faded at all. The ropes and straps however have faded. It has also been very easy to clean. The rope is starting to show a little bit of signs of drying and fraying, but it is only minor. It is nowhere near at a point that I would have concern about using the swing.

My son is almost 5 years old, and family and friends no longer have kids that will use the swing.  After five years, we’ll be taking the swing down this summer.  The swing has gotten a lot of use over the last few years by my son as well as guests. It has held up very well, is easy to clean and has held all children in securely. I had trouble adjusting the straps, but my husband was always able to take care of that task. The Little Tikes 2 in 1 Snug and Secure Swing has kept my son safely swinging and has been a great addition to our swingset. I’ll probably even be a little sad to see it go.
