Giggles & Smiles Abound

My husband & I made the trek to Toys R Us this past weekend, to find a swing for our 17 month old son. We looked at several swings & finally decided on the Little Tikes High Back swing for a number of reasons. First, and very important to us, this swing has a safety belt. Many of the swings we checked out did not, and that surprised us. Second, the swing is very durable-looking. The ropes are smooth so that little hands will not get chafed. The plastic, like all Little Tikes products, is easy to clean. Also, the leg holes are wide enough to take our baby in & out with ease. The back of the swing is high enough to support our son comfortably, but not so high that it restricts his head movement.
The cost, on sale, was $14.99 which was a $5 savings off the regular price. Pretty good deal for such a nice product.
We got the swing home, and found that it was very easy to install. We don't have a swing set, or a tree with a good limb, so my husband hung some thick high test wire between two trees, latched it on securely, and hung the swing from it. He used two metal clips of some kind to keep the ropes in their proper spot. Took him about five minutes.
And then - joy of joys! Andrew got to swing for the first time! When I say giggles and smiles, I do mean giggles & smiles! We have had him out there in the swing every day now & he continues to be thrilled with it. Keeps him busy while I hang the laundry, too, which is great for both of us.
One thing that did surprise us is that there was no warranty registration card included with the swing. We always like to fill those in & send them back, because we know we'll get notification if for some reason the product is recalled. I don't know why this particular product did not come with a warranty registration card, but I do intend to contact Little Tikes & found out.
I highly recommend this swing - another great product from Little Tikes.
