| pgsahm's Full Review: Little Tikes High Back Toddler Swing |
As an infant my son adored movement. He loved car rides, swinging in his baby swing and being in his stroller. Sometimes it would put him to sleep and sometimes it would just calm him down. And for his first Christmas my parents decided he needed his first outdoor swing!
Christmas morning we opened up a gift that was rather odd shaped. Wrapped up tight was the Toddler Swing by Little Tikes. It was so cute and my son liked sitting in it that morning while he was on the floor. A few weeks later he enjoyed it even more when it was hung up for him to swing in.
Mounted outside, under the front porch, the swing hangs, day and night. Made of very heavy duty plastic, the swing will take all types of weather. There are two straps that hold the swing up, mounted to the ceiling with metal hooks. It is very easy to install.
The swing is a greenish color with yellow rope. It has two leg holes for your child's legs to hang through while swinging. You must put the child in the seat and stick their legs through. There is not a bar that lifts up to sit the child in first. Thank goodness for the strap that secures children in place. It is a lifesaver for wiggly babies. I recommend using hte seat belt strap at all times to ensure that your child will not fall out. However, never trust the strap or swing enough to leave the child unattended no matter what.
This swing makes a great gift for toddlers. It can be hung in various different places - from a tree, from a porch ceiling, anywhere that is secure and that is sturdy. With such a great price you cannot go wrong.
My son loves swinging in the swing. He will sit for long periods of time watching cars go by while swinging. We gently push him and he will swing and talk to you and smile. This is a great item for kids who are a little on the wild side. It would be great for them as a calming effect. Afterall when you are being pushed in a swing, who can resist closing their eyes and drifting off to the gentle movement.
