I have some bad things about this car and some good things. First the bad. My son who is 2 has slept in a toddler bed since he was about 11 months old. He never slept in a crib because I dont like putting my baby in a "cage". Then my boyfriend of 2 years decided to move in and my son took up too much of my queen size bed sleeping sideways like most babies do. I was used to it but my boyfriend couldn't handle it. So then we decided to go shopping for a toddler bed. We found this one at Toys R Us and I love Little Tikes so we got it and brought it home.
My son thought it was so cool. He crawled all over it and said look ma, car in my room!! The first few weeks I ended up sleeping with him and let me tell you this bed is NOT made for more than one toddler!! The plastic is very hard and not comfortable at all. I figured it was just because I was trying to fit an adult in a toddler bed. He finally decided to fall asleep on his own so one night I heard this big thump. I ran in there and he was just crying so hard. He had rolled over and hit his head on the plastic and it left a huge bruise!! After that night I wrapped blankets around the sides to see if that would help. Well nope didn't help he still hit his head. This bed is very dangerous for tossing and turning toddlers. After that night I pulled the bed out and put the mattress on the ground till I could get to Walmart to buy a regular toddler bed. He now uses the bed as a play car and pretends to drive in it with his friends. And another thing... you have to provide a board underneth the mattress to support it or it'll fall thru. Doesn't even come complete and if I'm paying $250 for a bed I would like it complete!!
