| silentron's Full Review: Loaded Questions |
I initially saw this game at a Borders bookstore. Upon reading the back of the game, I was immediately intrigued by the very social aspect of the game.
The basis of the game is that you have a "chooser" and a "caller" for each question asked. Questions range from, "Who in your past, that you are no longer in contact with, would you like to speak to now?" to "Which of your body parts would the person to your right, be most appreciative of?" After the question is read aloud, everybody (except the chooser) writes down their own personal responses to the question. All of the answers are then rounded up, and the caller reads aloud all of the responses. It is then the chooser's responsibility to listen to the responses and decide which response came from which player.
It's a fantastic way to get to know new friends, and an equally great way to learn more about your current friends. If you've ever wanted to know "What movie star would your best friend want to be?" or other similar odds and ends that you would never ask, this is the game for you.
The genius of this game is that it is fun and relatively stress free. The nature of the questions are such that ANYBODY can have an answer to the question. It's not like Trivial Pursuit where you either know the answer or not. EVERYBODY will have an answer to the question at hand and be able to provide an interesting, informational, or hilarious response.
