| KimJ's Full Review: Log Cabin |
1110 Grizzly Hill is where my nephew, Aiden, resides. He has a beautiful Log Cabin complete with Hard wood floors on top of hill surrounded by gorgeous greenery and a nice little stone path leading to his front door. Outside he parks his Red Harley Davidson. Resting against his home is an array of rakes, shovels and a wheel barrel to keep up the landscaping of his beloved property. He is only about to turn three years old and already has achieved all this.
Sounds like a dream doesn't it?
A couple of months ago Aiden was looking through the Little Tikes catalogue with his Pop (Grandpa). When he saw that Log Cabin his eyes lit up and a big giant smile stretched across his little angelic face. How could Pop say no? So, needless to say Aiden got the Log Cabin.
Our backyard is basically a big hill which my Daddy, (Aidens Pop) has landscaped over the years. Wooden stairs lead to what is now known as 1110 Grizzly Hill. Grizzly Hill is what Aiden always called our backyard when playing with his Uncle Danny and Aiden was born on 11-10-97, so that is how we chose his house number that he displays posted to a tree proudly.
Now that you've got the picture. . .
The Little Tikes Log Cabin has a simulated log cabin look to it. Of course it is plastic, a very durable plastic like all Little Tikes products. The Log Cabin comes complete with a flip up/down table (just like Little Tikes Kitchen sets have). There is a little shelf where Aiden has little cups and plates resting for when he has OVERSIZED or his size company (if you know what I mean). Beneath the shelf is the fireplace which is always burning a toasty fire and the make believe smoke leads up and out of the make believe chimney. Resting to the right of the shelf is a yellow cordless telephone that hangs on the wall. The Cabin has four windows, two full and two half. Each window is able to be opened or closed with either one or two yellow shutters. The front door is a little Red Dutch door. The Log Cabin has a Green Roof to keep the rain out and a little red chimney resting on top.
Since the Cabin gets used a lot the grass where we placed the Cabin disappeared quickly. Lucky for Aiden, Grandma had just remodeled the living room and some wood looking paneling was left over. We simply put down the paneling under the cabin giving Aiden hard wood floors, just like Grandma has inside. He loved it! It makes it much easier to keep clean. You can just sweep it up!
The Log Cabin was very easy to assemble, it only took Pop about 15 Minutes. We have had no problems other than little critters thinking that Aiden's home is their home too, but who doesn't have that problem from time to time?
:o)
Aiden loves his Log Cabin and I am sure that your child will too. If you are thinking about buying one, go ahead and do it. Its another GREAT product from Little Tikes.
