Pros:Solid, extremely configurable, on-the-mouse speed adjustment, excellent for games & design.
Cons:The price :)
The Bottom Line: If you need a "basic mouse", this is not for you.
If you're a gamer / power user / designer - this IS the one!
This mouse has made a huge difference in my day. First off, it's larger & more comfortable (I have big hands, so most mice feel "toylike" and I simply can't use them). Second, the programmable buttons are a godsend. Third, the precision and control is worlds beyond anything other manufacturers offer.

Logitech has been making input devices for a while, and the company's experience does show in this product. Everything has been thought of - interchangeable grips for different hand sizes / preferences, adjustable weight (mine is loaded all the way up), excellent control software that lets you assign darn-near-anything (including button combinations & command macros) to a particular button - even by application! For example, you can have the "5th button" work as "Back" in Firefox, but as "Eraser" or "XOR Mask" in PhotoShop. Sure, it takes some time & effort to set up (and get used to the combos), but once you're "in the zone", it saves you a LOT of time.
The one feature that makes this mouse completely unique (AFAIK), is the resolution adjustment buttons. Being able to switch from high-speed tracking in PhotoShop to low-speed tracking for another app - on the fly - is a time-and-nerves-saver. No more having to visit Control Panel >Mouse Properties to adjust the speed. It's *right on the mouse*!
Overall, this is a PROFESSIONAL, very solidly made, VERY configurable device, and it's a pleasure to use. Sure, it's $100 (actually, check out Newegg for a better price... hint hint), but for anyone who routinely uses a dozen apps at the same time, all of which demand different mouse settings - this is a lifesaver!
