I got this remote as a gift. I aways wanted to have one remote for all my electronics. Over the years I had a bunch of them but no one REALLY delivered the promise.. I was skeptical about this one but then I discovered how powerful it was. IT REALLY WORKS. REALLY, TRULY, NO DOUBT ABOUT IT - IT WORKS!!
The programming requires the internet connection - got it. A little bit of patience is needed but it's worth it - got it. I had to gather all my information (equipment models) - got it. The software asked me how I wanted to control my equipment - got it. When I was ready to program the remote - it was done in two clicks of the mouse. Folks - we have a winner here! The remote worked and never disappointed me. The old remotes are garthering dust, in a box with my electronic junk. I don't have to use them anymore. But, the real kicker was this: it got hot in Chicago and it was time to turn on the air conditioning. I have one of those newer, in-wall models which comes witha remote control.. I thought - hmm.. is this Harmony remote capable of at least LEARNING the codes? Guess what - I didn't have to fiddle with teaching it!! There is an option called 'house automation' in the software! Woohoo! This remote IS REALLY ALL-IN-ONE!!!
