Pros: Satellite’s sound quality, build quality, powerful sub and the price.
Cons: Bass is overpowering on certain frequency's, satelite covers are fragile.
The Bottom Line: Great system for the money, better value then the PM4.1's. Go for it.

| supersonic3473's Full Review: Logitech Z-560 4 Speakers |
Review of the satellites - The 560's carry full range drivers, on the outside (The midrange) in the middle (Metal phase tweeter), often people criticize full range drivers for being muddy, this is not the case with the satellites on the 560's. They are very crisp, clean and powerful. They are not the best sats ever made but for the price they can be had for, its foolish to turn such a deal down. I have owned the 560's for a long time, and I will say that the 560's sats are the best I have owned. Did I mention the 560's stands double as wall mounts. Love the 560's sats, the PM 4.1's sats have a horn tweeter's which gives off a hollow sound.
Review of the sub woofer - One thing is clear, the bass cannon on the 560's in powerful (188 Watt RMS) and is the best for people who listen to dance/techno and hip hop. Its got a mediocre frequency range, it sounds good on most of the frequency's it can handle, but it tends to be overpowering on some frequency's.
Review of the control pod - The control pod has the basic features, Bass, Power, Fade, Volume. Except one, no treble??, what was Logitech thinking????. Headphones port and a stupid feature called M3D for up mixing 2.1 sound sources to 4 speakers. A good thing about the pod is that you can lay it flat or you can put it on a vertical mount which saves space. Its got 2 pretty blue LED lights, one under the volume button and one under the M3D button. Overall it gets the job done just fine, it does not have an LCD or anything special but it does its job.
Review of build quality - Around 1 in every 10 complains that their system's either messed up or the bass cannon blew. Simple solution, MAKE SURE YOU GIVE THE 560's SUB A GOOD BREAK IN PERIOD OF AT LEAST 5 HOURS before daring to crank it. The system is solid as a rock, You can stand on it, use it for a night stand, toss into the street. It will take it. The same cant be said for the sats, they have detachable covers that can and do break.
Conclusion - Superb sats, pretty good bass cannon and great build quality. This system is a much better value then the Klipsch Pro Media 4.1's. Its not the greatest thing but the next step up from this is not worth the money.
