Pros:Comfortable, relatively small, stable works on bath towels
Cons:Have to remove the cover to store the adapter
The Bottom Line: Definitely the mouse of choice if you need to use it on an unusual surface.
I've owned two of these units and several other wireless mice from other manufacturers. I've never seen any quality problems with the M305. Mine keep chugging along, making connection quickly and running for a reasonable period on good-quality batteries. I like the feel of this unit, too. I originally bought one because Logitech discontinued their hardwired USB optical travel mouse (the one that you wrap the cord around, not the new "roll-up" unit) and I needed a mouse to go with my netbook.

And what can you say about a basic wireless mouse? They work fine. In fact, I keep one of mine on the couch next to me, with one of my laptops on the end table. When I want to access some on-line content, edit my NF queue, order something, or whatever, I just put the laptop on my lap and away I go. The M305 is actually being used on a bath towel, because I place a towel on the couch for my cats to sleep on. One of the interesting things I've found is that the M305 works MUCH better on a towel than do the MS mice. In fact, the MS wireless mice are jerky and don't operate anywhere near as smoothly as the Logitech does. Totally unacceptable ;-). Now, I 'm not saying that optical mice SHOULD work well on bath towels, but the M305 does and I use it that way at least a few times a day. (BTW, it also works well on carpet and countertops.)
The only negative about this is that you have to remove the cover to store the wireless USB adapter. I like the MS method of storing the adapter much better.
