Pros: Optical mouse, is wired, no "gummy wheel" like Microsoft mice have
Cons: Price, paint wore off, back button easy to hit accidentally
The Bottom Line: Overpriced, but better than everything else I found, including the Microsoft "gummy wheel" mice

This mouse is decent, but for its price I've been disappointed.
I bought this mouse because it was:
*Optical
*Wired
*Not Microsoft's mouse with that horrid "gummy" wheel
When you hate Microsoft's nasty "gummy" wheel mice, alternatives are hard to find! That's how I ended up with this pricey dandy on my desk.
Good Aspects
I've used quite a few mice, and this one is probably my favorite despite its various problems. It fits perfectly in my hand, clicks quietly, scrolls quietly, and comes with more driver options than I'd ever use. It "feels" good, and that's what I like most in mice.
Paint Wore Off
I didn't see anyone else reporting this problem, but I've had mine for a couple years now and the rough grey paint where my thumb rests has completely worn off. It began as a small dot within a week of getting this mouse and has since grown to the size of my thumb. The bare spot is smooth, glossy black underneath, but it feels odd and I think the paint rubbing off reflects poorly on the brand and quality of this mouse.
Back-ccidents
My other complaint is I sometimes hit the "back" button with my thumb when filling out a form and lose the form's contents. I don't use the back button on the mouse enough to make up for it, so I wish Logitech would put out a cheaper, button-less version of this mouse.
