I wanted my hair highlighted,my bud could do it cheaper than a salon. I wanted highlights, she just did my whole head. The color turned out beautiful tho...but soon afterwards due to the humidity, and the hot factory we work in, my natural curly hair went into a frizz ball.
I went to find a gentle shampoo I could use daily and this is what I found.
L'Oreal Color Vive Gentle Shampoo Dry Formula.
This bottle was a bit pricey at $4.99 for 13 oz, but the bottle claimed it would help my hair retain it's color job as well as help keep my hair healthier.
I had tried L'Oreal cosmetics and hair coloring products in the past with much success so I quickly purchased this.
When it came shower time, I got out my new bottle of shampoo.
The first thing I noticed was the bottle has a flip top lid which I like. I can quickly snap the lid down, and not worry about accidentally spilling any of this 'liquid pearl' shampoo while I am in the shower.
The shampoo comes out a white pearlescent color. I found the fragrance to be extremely light, and the shampoo extremely thick. The lathering was about medium, but the shampoo rinsed away completely. I only have to use about a quarter sized dollup.
My hair immediatly felt softer and more managable with just one use. With continued use, I found the condition of my hair improving dramatically, although I still need a daily conditioner.
I like the fact that the shampoo contains 2 UV filters to further protect my hair from sun/wind damage and help my hair color stay true longer.

3) Leaves hair healthy, soft and shining.
4) Cleanses without stripping, fading or dulling color.
I have found all of this to be true.
The bottle suggests that you can lather twice with this and then follow with the matching conditioner. I have not needed to lather twice, even when I work 10 hours in the hot sweaty factory.
At the time of purchase $4.99 seemed a bit steep with all the cheap shampoos on the market, but after seeing the benefits of the improvements on my hair texture, plus only the one lathering, I do belive I got a bargain in disguise.
For anyone who has sun damaged hair, or color treated hair, I highly reccommend L'Oreal Color Vive Dry Shampoo. It will improve the quality of your hair, keep the color truer longer, and protect against the sun's damaging rays.
