Almost two weeks ago I found myself in line behind a woman at Kmart who had purchased a bottle of L’Oreal Color Vive Gentle Shampoo for Color Treated Hair. Usually I take advantage of the self check-out system but it was not working and for some reason I decided to ask the customer ahead of me about the product she was purchasing. Well she just raved about this and showed me her two coupons for seventy-five cents each. I asked the employee what the scanned price was. The employee informed me the price was $2.99 and I inquired if this was a popular item. Evidently this is purchased often by customers. Since I had a shopping cart filled with items totaling close to two hundred dollars I wanted to keep my eye on the total as it was being scanned and did not run to the aisle to get this.
My next stop was Rite-Aid to pick up developed pictures so I headed over to the shampoo aisle and noticed the price to be $4.49. The regular worker there that I consult for lipstick advice was in the vicinity so I mentioned to her how I just saw the L’Oreal Color Vive Gentle Shampoo for Color Treated Hair at Kmart for a better price. She showed me the special deal they were having with a coupon at the register to buy one and get one free. The price was $4.49 each with the final cost of each bottle lower at $2.25 each. I was undecided between one for dry and damaged hair or the one for color treated. I told the gal that I had just colored my hair earlier in the month so we decided to start with the L’Oreal Color Vive Gentle Shampoo for Color Treated Hair.
I could not wait to take a shower that evening to try out the L’Oreal Color Vive Gentle Shampoo for Color Treated Hair. The cream color bottle contains thirteen ounces and specific for dry hair. The flip-top lid snaps back down with the bottom not able to twist off. The smell is pleasing and not overpowering. I have never been one to use just a drop of shampoo and used a generous amount my first time. In the palm of my hand the shampoo glistened with sparkles, or so it seemed to me. The lather this produced was phenomenal with the end result being such a squeaky clean feeling right down to the ends. If I had not purchased the conditioner I would not feel the need to even have to use one after one application of the L’Oreal Color Vive Gentle Shampoo for Color Treated Hair.
My hair afterwards was so easy to run a wooden comb through it and split ends were not even noticeable. The color was not faded but shiny and looking healthy and vibrant. This is formulated with 2 UV filters that work in keeping the color longer without stripping or dulling the color. Although the directions state you can repeat if necessary I would see no reason to have to do this.
The best part for me is there is no lanolin in L’Oreal Color Vive Gentle Shampoo for Color Treated Hair. Due to my eczema condition I often have flakes or scabs that irritate my scalp but this has been minimized with using this shampoo. There is no burning sensation once this is rubbed into my scalp and the rinsing off in the shower is easy to do. I have always utilized either Suave or Alberto Vo5 shampoos but now that I have tried the L’Oreal Color Vive Gentle Shampoo for Color Treated Hair it will be hard to change shampoos on a monthly basis. I am now interested in trying a hair color from this brand as well, because I am worth it, as their slogan states.
L’Oreal Color Vive Gentle Shampoo for Color Treated Hair is specially targeting dry damaged hair that is also color treated. This sums up my hair, plus in this dry environment it helps keep my color from fading or looking dull, ratty or scraggly. The premise here is for the color to last longer when using L’Oreal Color Vive Gentle Shampoo for Color Treated Hair, especially when you have just colored your hair. Since some brands allow coloring hair as often as three months this is perfect to use all the time for a healthier shine and glow to your hair. I like the gentle format on my sensitive scalp and feel protected from the harsh UV rays when out in the sun.
The ingredients are listed on the back of the bottle: water, sodium laureth suflate, disodium cocoamphodiacetate, cocamide mipa, glycol, disodium ricinoleamido mea-sulfo-succinate, fragrance, carbomer, disodium edta, polyquaternium 10, mthylparabed, benzophenone-4, dmdm hydantoin, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate
Most of the time when I see commercials I am not paying attention, but now I am waiting to see what the claims are on television for this product, because whatever they say it is true. I cannot believe I missed out by never purchasing the L’Oreal Color Vive Gentle Shampoo for Color Treated Hair before now, but will be continuing with this line from now on. This would be perfect for someone about to color their hair, or has done so already and also has dry hair. The price is more than reasonable with the end result a healthy shine with color intact.
