Loreal Gelee provides a nice self tan and leaves you feeling very soft. (but stinky)

Pros: Looks natural, smells good initially, soaks in well, using sparingly. Leaves you feeling soft.
Cons: Self-tanner stench. Initial pleasant scent, after a few hours, it really stank.
The Bottom Line:
Good self-tanner strong odor after its been on your skin for an hour or so. I will continue to use it occasionally. the smell is offensive but not intolerable.

I have tried only a couple of tanners mostly to give me a head start on my tan. I haven't really liked any of the ones I've tried. They smell and leave me feeling sticky. I like to put it on after my morning shower, but by the time evening comes around I feel like I need another shower. I got the Loreal Gelee as a full size sample with some hair dye. Not a bad perk in my opinion. I put it on sparingly - so I had only a thin layer on my skin. It smells really nice out of the tube and soaked in quite quickly. If you put on more than just a thin coat it takes longer to dry. I was really pleased ... initially. After about an hour or so, there came that familiar stench that self-tanners give off. That night I didn't have time to wash it off before bed and boy was I sorry I didn't take the time to do so. It smelled so bad, I was actually feeling a bit self conscious laying next to my husband of 20 years. Not to mention the bed linens needed washing as well. I didn't notice any staining, but they really stank. I did have a nice glow though. It works pretty good for what its supposed to do and it only took a couple of applications. Personally I only use the tanning lotions to get me going - I have my own pool and with the proper protection - I prefer the old fashioned way to get that summer glow. Overall I think this is a good product -- doesn't leave you orange and its easy to use.
