Opinion Summary
Loreal Gelee provides a nice self tan and leaves you feeling very soft. (but stinky)
by sirk007 | Apr 28 '06
Pros: Looks natural, smells good initially, soaks in well, using sparingly. Leaves you feeling soft.
Cons: Self-tanner stench. Initial pleasant scent, after a few hours, it really stank.

L'oreal Vs. Jergens (Reply to this comment)
by sirk007
Since I posted my review on the L’Oreal Gelee self tanner I have also read up on the e-opinions board - and tried the Jergens natural glow daily moisturizer. The Jergens is found on the lotion isle and is also a self tanner (though the tube doesn't say it) In my town, the Jergens is $2-$3 cheaper (depending on the store) and personally I don’t think the Jergens smells as bad as the L’Oreal. I have read reviews on the board saying how bad the Jergens stinks, but in comparison...well, on second thought, there is no comparison. The Jergens doesn't smell as bad at all! Also, ive read that some people have had tanning lotions take a long time to dry. You have to put it on sparingly – don’t rush it. A thin layer will dry quickly. Plus, NO self tanner works quite like a moisturizer - and I like to use Shea terra organics shea butter lotion. (sheaterraorganics.com) It’s the best moisturizer on the market period! So just plan on using a self tanner to get tan and that’s all. Jergens natural glow is a thumbs up in my book.

Well I guess you can get good results with this - now if they could just do something about the smell!
