i bought the item seperately because i do not like the mascara that comes in the kit. i have been using the lash boosting serum for a few weeks and i have not noticed any changes at all. it just seems to take up extra time i do not really have to start with. you are supposed to use it before mascara application and then again after mascara removal. it is gummy when it dries. i also found that if you apply just a tiny bit too much your lashes stick together and it is difficult to remove. when dry it feels almost like school glue if you decide to wear it alone. i really wanted this product to work. i did not set my hopes too high, i was only hoping for minimal results. i did not get any results. i also thought the applicator could have been designed better. it is a felt covered plastic curved wand that seems to pull the serum off of your lashes instead of applying it. i feel that a mascara type wand would have done better for application. the plastic curved wand does not allow for lash separation and seemed to make them go together. the only aspect that i found to be comforting about this experience was that it does not burn your eyes or cause any irritation.
