It wont be long before SoccerGirl becomes SwimmerGirl, that is if the temperatures ever warm up enough around here to set up the pool. And when swimming season comes along, so does the dreaded green-haired monster. Chlorine wreaks havoc with hair, and when its blonde and spends more time in the pool than out, well, the dry, green hair starts to show up! That is, until we discovered LOreal Kids Swim Shampoo.
LOreals Swim Shampoo claims to be No Tears! No Dry Hair! No Chlorine Smell!! Its a two in one shampoo for normal to fine hair that has a fragrance LOreal calls Splash of Sunny Orange. And LOreal is true to their word! The smell is a wonderful sunny orange scent that reminds my daughter of her soccer games so recently past. SoccerGirl has beautiful shoulder length blonde hair, with a big problem. Its very fine and tangles at the slightest touch. A gentle breeze blowing three miles away will tangle her hair, so just imagine what swimming does to it! And she hates tangles! She hates having her hair brushed. Since using LOreal Kids shampoos she doesnt run screaming at the sight of a hairbrush anymore! All of the LOreal Kids shampoos have the same great no tangles selling point, claiming to be extra gentle and containing conditioners that ease detangling, but this Swim shampoo goes one further. Its conditioners remove chlorine, salt, and minerals, thus avoiding the risk of green tones that are so common among swimmers. It also claims that it will quench dryness, and leave hair soft. My SwimmerGirl would attest to that fact. My girls hair smells great, looks clean and smells fresh, with no lingering chlorine smell. And that is a very good thing for my girls. LOreal Kids Swim Shampoo is also opthalmologist tested, and as for being no tears, well my five-year-old has used this shampoo many times and never has she ever had a problem with it getting in her eyes. Another nice thing about this shampoo is that it lasts a good long time. You dont need much, just a little squirt and theres plenty of lather to get my girls hair squeaky-clean.
The packaging is also very cool. LOreal Kids shampoos are bottled in a 265ml (in Canada, dont know the size in the US) bright stylized-fish shaped bottles. This one is a bright blue with a sunny orange flip top cap that makes for easy handling for either my daughter or myself. Whats pretty cool too is that you can smell the shampoo through the bottle. An added bonus is that this bottle becomes a great bath toy for my kids after the shampoo is all gone. Its a fish so its perfect for tub time. The bottle floats, it squirts, its easy to handle, and my girls both play with them in the tub!
LOreal Kids Swim Shampoo is a two in one shampoo that cleans and conditions my girls hair well. It smells great, there are no tears, no knots, and no crying at the sight of the hairbrush, and the green-hair monster is kept at bay all summer long.
