As a mother, I just love everything about the Loving Family collection (even the name). Watching my daughter and her friends play with this collection, I am reminded of the innocence and enjoyment of childhood! Sometimes (OK a LOT of times) I can't help but to sit in the floor and play right along with them!
This outdoor barbecue set is definitely another item to add to the fun!
Every one knows that a good outdoor barbecue is fun for the family. No it can be fun for the Loving Family, too!! This is an adorable set to add to the Loving Family collection.
The set comes complete with a little red grill that opens and close and even "cooks" - you simply turn the knob and the grill surface flips over to reveal hamburgers and hotdogs. When the food is finished, the family can sit down to eat at the picnic table that also features a red and white checkered tablecloth and 2 trays of food. There is also a swingset with 2 swings - one purple and one green - and a separate purple slide. Although I have read (and heard) that some sets did not, our set did contain the dog, too.
One thing that I should mention, the swings are both designed for the babies to sit in - with the bars just like a real swing. While I think this is a wonderful idea and another area where Fisher Price makes the toys realistic, the bigger kids in the family seem to be left out of the fun. Maybe Fisher Price should add scooters or bikes to the collection for the older kids!
Toy is recommended for ages 3 and up
Available at Wal Mart, Toys R Us, Target - I usually find a larger selection of Loving Family items at Toys R Us or online.
