Cons: Battery didn't last more than 45 mins.
Inaccurate readings. Maps are far too old.
The Bottom Line: The lithium batteries in these units are junk, the directions not reliable, and Lowrance hasn't responded to my complaint. I'll be buying from another manufacturer in the future.
catlover0209's Full Review: Lowrance iWAY 350C Car GPS Receiver
I was looking for a small automotive GPS unit, and while I didn't really want one with an MP3 player, I thought that the iWay 350C sounded like a well-rounded package for a good price, and its music playing feature might come in handy on a long trip.
The manufacturer claims that the lithium battery will last up to 15 hours. I had to return the one I purchased because it lasted only 45 minutes before the low battery alarm came on. It also gave strange, convoluted directions, and had I not known where I was going when I was trying it, I don't know how far off my normal route it would have taken me. A day later, the battery wouldn't accept any charge. The store exchanged it for a new iWay 350C.
The battery in the second one lasted only 30 minutes before the low battery alarm came on, and was consistently off by nearly a mile with my current position. Customer Support still hasn't gotten back to me to address my complaints. Thankfully the store refunded my money.
The iWay 350C was an enormous disappointment. Lowrance needs to concentrate on making a workable, reliable GPS unit, and forget about including MP3-playing and picture-viewing crap. After all, which is more important?!
