Hello! This is an update of one of my old reviews. Since there had been lots of visits to the review, I decided to update it with more information so that it can help the consumers in making a right decision.

B.P could be monitored with utmost accuracy and consequently I was able to put him on necessary medicines. Over a period, the hypertension gradually came under control.
I, like many other physicians used to have a low opinion about the accuracy of the electronic Blood Pressure monitors. But this Blood Pressure monitor cleared my doubts regarding the accuracy. It is very reliable. The difference in the Blood Pressure when measured manually and with this instrument is less than 5 units. That means its highly accurate.
The basic principle of treating chronic hypertension is the early detection of every sharp rise in the Blood Pressure. This monitor from Lumiscope is a pioneer in the accurate detection of Blood Pressure. As I have mentioned earlier the early detection and the follow up treatment of Blood Pressure goes a long way in preventing the complications of hypertension.In our day to day life we are exposed to a variety of stress causing incidents. Every small tension that you undergo has got its role in complicating the existing hypertension . It becomes increasingly difficult for us to run to a doctor every time we suspect a rise in Blood pressure. Hence, this equipment is a basic necessity in every man's life, especially the cardiac patients. All the elderly patients are also advised to use it.
This instrument can be easily handled and does not require any skill. The instrument has got a cuff which should be tied arround the arm. The cuff is not auto-inflatable, it should be inflated manually till the reading on the monitor shows 200. Then a button named as "Deflate" should be pressed. The instrument deflates the cuff automatically and then a reading appears indicating Blood pressure in terms of Systolic/Diastolic. It's Accurate Reading & quot system is it's main asset. I have not found any other instrument more accurate than this in monitoring the Blood pressure.
As a doctor I earnestly recommend this instrument to every person, so that you can keep track of your Blood pressure changes. In that way you make it easy for your doctor to treat you effectively. This daily monitoring will also help you know if the treatment is working.
