When You Need An Extra Boost Ask For Luna

I am not the healthiest of people out there. I do not always eat the foods I should so I need an extra little pick me up every now and again to help keep me going. I had heard a lot about the luna bars and decided that I would give them a try. I had heard that they taste good, but I am a pesimist when it comes to things like this and am used to what is in the wrapper tasting like the wrapper or a card board box. I was very happy with the taste and quality of the luna bar.
First of these are made for women. They are a whole nutrition bar. They contain soy protein, 23 vitamins and minerals, and calcium as well as folic acid. Just an example of a few of the ingredients in one of the luna bars is as follows. Lunapro (soy protein, rolled oats, soy flour, rice, roasted soybeans, crisp rice, faxseed), brown rice syrup, feanut flour, peanut butter, natural flavors, sea salt, and decaffeinated green tea extract. The nutrition value is enourmous compared to most health bars. tottal fat 4.5 grams, sat fat 2.5 grams, no cholesterol, polyunsat. fat, or monoustat. fat, sodium 100 mg., potassium 105mg., total carbs 24g, dietary fiber 2g., and protein 10g. Some of the vitamins and minerals are as follows: vit. A, vit.C, calcium, iron, vit.E, vit. K, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, vit.B6, folate, B12, biotin, iodine, zink, and magnesium.
To me these are like a candy bar only they help curb my appetite and not as sweet. The actual bar size is 1.69 oz. They do make me rather thirsty and can leave a funny taste in your mouth depending on what one you are eatting, but overall are not at all bad. The price to me is rather expensive though so I do not buy them very often. At $1.09 a bar. What is also nice about these bars is the fact that a portion of the proceeds of each sale goes to the breast cancer fund. That makes me feel better about spending so much for one of these.
I have only tried a couple of the different flavors, but I do believe that they have around 8 different flavors to choose from. If you are in the market for a healthy substitute for the candy bar and need the extra pick me up I would definitely give these a try. I know that these have helped give me the pick me up I needed more than once with out the nasty taste or any side effects. A nutrition bar that is actually worth its weight in gold. :)
