angel011's Full Review: Lush Honey I Washed the Soap For Kids
Honey, I Washed the Kids soap was one of my mother’s gifts to me for the New Year, and I immediately loved the scent, the mixture of honey and toffee, sweet but not too strong. It turned out to be a good soap, too.
This soap looks nice; it can easily be used as a gift. Its color is tan, and it comes with a piece of beeswax on the edge. And the scent is simply wonderful, sweet and pleasant, but not too strong.
This soap applies easily, there’s a nice amount of lather, and it rinses easily too, leaving my skin (the type is combined) clean and with a honey/toffee scent which is not too strong and doesn’t last for long even if I don’t use a body lotion or fragrances. The scent is stronger in the shower area than on my skin.
The scent… I loved it. I loved it so much that I used Honey, I Washed the Kids for washing my hands, too, just to feel the scent again. My mother adores this honey/toffee scent too; she bought this soap for herself, too, cut off a piece of it to use for washing hands, and a few more pieces to place them in the rooms of her apartment so the entire apartment would smell like Honey, I Washed the Kids. And she’s thinking about placing a piece of it in her purse as well. She’s a temperamental person, and says that this sweet scent calms her down.
Honey, I Washed the Kids didn’t moisturize my skin, and it even dried it a bit – just a little, so it wasn’t much of a problem. It’s nothing an ordinary body milk or body lotion couldn’t solve.
This soap doesn’t melt quickly, but it didn’t last me for as long as it could – I used it whenever I had an excuse for it. Not exactly rational behavior, I know. The result of it was that I had my Honey, I Washed the Kids bar for a little more than a month.
Overall, I find this soap adorable, mostly because of its scent. The use of it is quick, easy and pleasant, and makes showering an experience to look forward to – if I wasn’t this lazy and had more time for it, I’d want to take a shower several times a day even if there was no need for it, showering with Honey, I Washed the Kids is that pleasant.
I will definitely buy this soap again, as soon as I try some other Lush soaps I’m interested in… Or maybe even sooner.
