I have been a long time user of body washes and body gels. My experiences with regular soaps left me with dry skin and very little moisturization. When my fascination with LUSH started over a year ago, one of the first products I tried was their soaps. I have no idea what it was about their soaps that made me want to buy them, but, I'm so glad that I did. One of my absolute favorites is LUSH Honey I Washed The Kids

I love all kinds of scents, and one of my favorite type has to be the sweet kind! I couldn't resist purchasing Honey I Washed The Kids after reading the absolutely yummy description LUSH gave it: "Sweet honey heaven cleanses and moisturizes sensitive skin. Imagine pulling the comb straight out of the hive, slathering that divine honey all over, then being showered by a delicate spring rain."
Honey I Washed The Kids contains delicious honey water but also sweet orange oil, bergamot oil, gardenia extract and aloe vera extract. It's an amazing list of ingredients that equals an amazing soap!
Depending on how you purchase Honey I Washed The Kids, i.e.; gift set or straight off the block, you might end up with a bit of the beeswax on the top. I have had a couple of bars with the beeswax and within one wash it fell off. It really doesn't add much to the soap other than a cute decorative touch.
Honey I Washed The Kids is a wonderfully creamy soap that has a nice thick lather. LUSH has formulated this soap to not only smell delicious but to be wonderful for the skin too. It helps to soothe and condition skin leaving it feeling silky soft and smooth.
The scent of Honey I Washed The Kids is definitely one of my absolute favorite LUSH scents ever. It's sweet, it's warm, it's comforting, it's awesome. I could sniff the bar all day long and never tire of it! I just wish that it had a bit more staying power once I'm out of the shower. I can only smell it for about 20 minutes after I dry off.
My Experience
Honestly, this is hands down one of my favorite LUSH products. It's a must have at all times. Everything from the scent to how it leaves my skin feeling is total perfection. My skin always feels so soft and smooth after bathing with Honey I Washed The Kids. I adore the creamy lather, it just feels luxurious. My skin never feels dry and itchy like it did with other bar soaps. Instead it feels moisturized like I used a lotion in the shower. My girls are also huge fans of this soap! They love the scent and I love that it leaves their skin feeling super soft.
The only other downside to Honey I Washed The Kids (beside the scent not lingering) is how quickly it dissolves. It's definitely one of the faster melting soaps I have tried from LUSH. One 3.5 OZ bar will last me two weeks at the very most if I keep it in the shower. I've learned the hard way to keep it in a water proof container outside of the shower when it's not in use!
Overall
I highly recommend LUSH Honey I Washed The Kids Soap. It has a delicious scent and leaves my skin feeling simply pampered!
