When my first child was born the hospital gave us Pampers. We had no leaks in the hospital, but as soon as we got home, the trouble began. My husband and I thought we were doing something wrong.
We decided to try Huggies after a friend recommended them, but the leaks were even worse. We thought maybe it was because we had a boy. Another friend said to try Luvs (she has triplets, one of which is a boy. Not only were they less expensive then Pampers, much less expensive then Huggies, but they also stopped the leaks!
I can count on one hand the number of leaks we had with Luvs in the past 10 months, where with the other two brands, we had leaks almost on a daily basis. Of course, we also tried Drypers as they were even less expensive, but the cloth like diaper just didn't cut it, especially when there was a loose bowel.
So, now we only use Luvs. It was pointed out to me why they work so well. It's the shape of the diaper. There's more of a curve in the leg area, where the other diapers are almost straight. Therefore, there's a snugger fit.
I wouldn't switch to another brand if you paid me.
