Pros: multi-use, can use as blush, bronzer or lipstick, dries to powdery finish, long-lasting
Cons: expensive, sells out fast, limited edition
The Bottom Line: One of the most versatile of MAC's products this BRONZING STICK is an excellent purchase. Doubles as a lipstick making the high price tag easy to rationalize.

| Caprig's Full Review: MAC Bronzing Stick |
I always have fun watching the drooling hypervenhilating fans of MAC get all wound up about a new collection that is going to come out.
About two or three months before MAC employees even know what is coming, the buzz online starts as the MAC devotees begin to chat about what they expect of the collections. The race starts to see who can get the first photos and titles of what is going to be released and what the exact date is.
Once the excitement is in full bloom to a raging torrent of enthusiasm, the phones at MAC begin to ring with requests for the new products.
After the initial trials of product are released to certain MAC employees, smatterings of reviews begin to appear. Certain people are able to give a preview of what products in the current line are really exciting and the hunt begins.
Such was the case with MAC's latest release called Belle Azure. In the collection is a set of three BRONZING STICKS. The sticks are available in three colors.
WHAT ARE THE BRONZING STICKS LIKE
I am not a cream person, and I usually do not fall for the quick hype of a newly released line. There are too many constant releases of MAC products for me to get all wound up about every one that comes out.
I am not a cream blush fan, so I was not interested in this new line of sticks. However, with the intense raving about one of the colors in this line called ROSE D'OR, I decided that I might as well take a look.
BRONZING STICKS come in a black metal tube with a brushed finish and bronze writing instead of the usual silver or white. There is only .24 oz or 7g of product in each tube.
The diameter is 3/4 " and the tube of product itself is only 1 1/2" long. The price is $18.50.
BRONZING STICKS are a cream that dries into a powdery finish. On the hand it feels tacky, but on the face, it is not bad at all once it sets.
WHAT COLORS DOES IT COME IN?
ROSE D'OR- a peachy bronze color that is good for blush with a tan.
GOLD MAGIC- a golden finish that many people are finding excellent for a goldish glow.
BRONZERAY- a more tan bronzer for contouring or darker complexions
All three colors have gold shimmer.
WHAT DO I THINK OF THE BRONZING STICK?
This is one of the most versatile products that MAC has come out with in a while. You can use it for blush, to highlight collarbones, shoulders or other places for sun kissed look.
You can also use it for lipstick, which, by the way is a gorgeous color.
The color of this on the lips is a perfect match to LANCOME JUICY TUBE in the color SIMMER, or L'OREAL COLOUR JUICE in the color STRAWBERRY SMOOTHIE.
The two of them together look amazing with a tan or on warmer complexioned skin without a tan.
The staying power of this product is excellent, even as a lipstick.
It is fabulous as a blush, but just as beautiful on the lips.
CONCLUSION
You can find the BRONZING STICK online at www.maccosmetics.com, any dept store that sells MAC, or order via the 800 number at
1-800-387-6707
Of all of the large named ingredients, of interest, this has Vitamin E in it, rice bran oil, olive oil and beeswax. The long list of other ingredients is a bit frightening at best. (grin)
I like this product a lot and I think that MAC did a great job with it. I only have the Rose D'or at this time and it is already selling out in stores and online.
It seems to go well on all kinds of complexions and the fact that it makes a gorgeous lipstick really makes it a 5 star in my book!
