Triple Therapy Sends Stress Down the Drain

Written: Feb 21 '09
Pros:One 2lb container lasts long time. Appreciated when used at just the right time
Cons:A little expensive and not always available at regular outlet stores
The Bottom Line: A good herbal healing experienced by using the authentic organic 100% Dead Sea Salts

Not particularly fragrant in terms of sweet or spicy but rather stale ocean that is definite salt, valerian root, oil of kava kava and loads of orange peel which make this mineral bath salt an interesting one when added to hot running bath water.

It dissolves well this mixture of natural herbs and 100% dead sea salt that are completely organic and proven to do what the container says it will: this one relieves stress. It is a mineral salt infused in a granule with the rich scents of many different combinations to achieve a particular blend for ‘wellness’. The kava kava is a well-known abncient medicinal herb used specifically for the relaxing and effective beating of insomnia WITHOUT any harmful effects like narcotic sleep aids can generally induce.

MASADA has been a long-time favorite of mine beginning back in 2000 when female problems, an ovarian cyst, was threatening my livelihood. Masada had just the product and I discovered this “Stress Relief” formula in addition to the others. All of the relievers Masada came up with have a purpose and on my road to recovery and relaxation wellness, this one I used to heal immensely. It cajoled an ease to meditate my pain away and drain my body from contaminants that caused lethargy. The combination of Valerian and orange peel makes for an unusual fragrance, not too tempting to some but delightful to others. Once its dissolved, the orange peel takes over and you honestly melt into the lucid waters surrounding you.

This mixture in a 2lb plastic container complete with a straw bow around its cap, delivers a tri-fold therapeutic experience when you add it to the running water. First you enjoy the therapy of particular herbs, valerian and kava kava are both natural relaxants used to calm the frayed nerves, loosen tight muscles that have built up too much lactic acid and ache, allow the mind to clear itself as the olfactory senses are flooded with citrus scents to take you away from the smog, noise and other deterrent pollutants your spirit, mind and body can do without.

The second is mineral therapy by adding a hint of lavender and bergamot ones senses are not only stimulated but the central nervous system is encouraged to slow down and take a long-needed break from the chaos a mind can deliver to the body. The minerals are somehow naturally preserved within the sea bed of the Dead Sea and these are known to have healing properties found in how much concentration of minerals are infused with the scents.

The third therapy one indulges in is aromatherapy and with the combination of oil essences, dead sea salts, a relaxed mindset the goal of aroma-therapy is achieved dramatically. Masada does not fail when it claims to deliver a product to ease tension, this one does.

The instructions for such a therapeutic experience is simple: Pour about one cup of salts, I use half a cup because that to me is sufficient but to each her or his own, into the enclosed cheesecloth bag they provide around the cap. Close and swirl the pouch around in the water till it is fully flat and maybe a few remnants of ‘herbal leftovers’ are in the bag. This indicates the combination of crystals infused with the herbal and essential oils have dissipated into the surrounding aquatic haven and your good to go and enjoy a ‘healing experience‘.

The cheesecloth baggie is machine washable so after three or four uses, even dry it can look and seem ‘gross’. So, it can be tossed into a mild bleach hot water wash with towels and such and be ready for the next few dozen baths you will take with this product. There is a warning for pregnant women, people under medical supervision for allergies to anything in this, as with any bath additive like bubble bath or other crystals, Masada asks that you consult your physician first.

If you have any other query on the product, you can contact Masada Marketing , Inc at 1-800-368-8811 or go to http://www.masada-spa.com   for more information. Of course there is a warning to keep this out of reach from infants and toddlers due to possible ingestion, although the wooden cap and snug-fitting rubber mold inside to fit the cap snug, is just that, pretty snug and if not just child-proof, sometimes even adult-proof. It will pop off with some effort.

It is a little pricey at some more exclusive all-natural health stores about $17.oo-$20.oo but generally worth it as you have 2 pounds worth and the way I use it, sparingly, it lasts me almost three months. But it can be found slightly cheaper at your grocery store for about $11.oo or maybe $13.oo so what are you waiting for if stress is killing you, or so it seems, knock it down and watch it drown down the drain for these little crystals that don’t stick around and don’t dissolve won’t hurt your pipes.

*for the concerned individual worrying about if any animals were used to test this product out the answer is NO ! and we like that . . .*
