Pros: excellent sound, great bargain, tweeter attenuation jumpers and excellent build quality.
Cons: Crossovers are a bit on the large side.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend these speakers to anyone looking for both excellent sound quality and value.

I have owned these speakers for the last two years. My first entry into Iasca competition was with these gems. I however didn't do very well on this occasion but this wasn't because of the speakers. Anyone familiar with Iasca competitions would know that there are other factors involved that would determine if a person places in the top five. At that time I was using two channels of a 50wattx4 Jbl amp to power the Quarts. After the competition I bridged the amp to give each each speaker 100watts. This was the best thing I had ever done. These babies opened up like I could never imagine. Subsequently I entered another Iasca competion and placed third. Recently May 9th 2004 I entered another Iasca competion and placed first. This time however I was pushing 150watts via a JL Audio 450/4.
The sound eminating from these speakers is truely something to behold. I have listened to other competitors vehicles with brands ranging from Infinity, a/d/s, JL, Dynaudio, Helix to Boston. Although these cars sound great the only other speaker that can compare to the Quarts are the Dynaudio Hex components. I don't see myself as an expert in judging speakers so I could be wrong but to me Quarts rule (with the right amount of power).
I agree that the tweets are a little bright but they can be tamed by using the jumpers in the crossovers. I will also agree with the first reviewer of these speakers that when placed in the kick panels the tweets shine. The tweets have a 360 degree soundfield and people who listen to my car especially in the dark always ask me if my tweeters are in the a pillars or sail panels behind the mirrors.
I have read reviews about other brands from CDT Audio and Focal. I truely would like to experience the sound of these brands and maybe they do sound better, but until then to me these Quarts are just great.
