Pros: Optics appear good if I could use the scope
Cons: Flimsy leg brackets
Plastic focuser gears
Customer service is very poor.

I bought this scope used from a college professor and discovered that the plastic eyepiece holder/visual back had cracked in shipment and the plastic focuser teeth had teeth broken off rendering it useless. I have not been able to use the telescope since Meade would not sell me a part that will fix it (as another person stated they would only fix it under their 1 year warranty). My scope was 1 year and 20 days from the day Meade shipped the scope and I couldn't buy parts to fix it and they wouldn't honor the warranty without a purchase receipt. I did have the dated telescope shipment list that accounted for each part put in the box. They offered to sell me a visual back from another model 90mm scope that had a different thread pattern so I could cross-thread it on but they wouldn't guarantee that it would fit. My biggest complaint was Meade's lack of customer support and failure to support their products.
