A great addition for less than $100

Cons: Cannot have other disc burning software installed.
The Bottom Line: There cannot be an easier to use external DVD burner out there! Low price is a bonus.

I record a lot of my son's high school soccer games, and I am always being asked by the other parents or the coach for a copy of the DVDs. For Christmas I asked my wife to buy me a DVD burner so I would not have to re-watch my sons games over and over while making copies using our DVR.
This little Memorex unit is just AWESOME! I am blown away by how simple to set up it was, and how quickly I was copying DVDs. It used to take me several hours to make several DVDs of my son's games, but now I am done in an hour with several copies. The NERO software that comes with it is very simple to use and easy to understand, I had it working in just minutes.
The other function for this drive is making picture DVDs. When I am not recording my son's soccer games, I am taking pictures, and you guessed it, parents are always asking me for copies of the pics. Well, I discovered that a DVD holds about 8GB of pics so I can put tons and tons of pics on a DVD and burn it in minutes with this drive.
The only drawback I have so far is that I had to uninstall Roxio CD Creator from my computer. I discovered this when I went to burn a CD to listen to in my truck and wanted to burn a CDR. Well, it would not work. But once I uninstalled Roxio, I could use NERO and the Memorex drive to make my CD. I can still use my computer's built in CDRW drive, I just have to use Windows Explorer to make the CDs.
Overall, you cannot beat this unit for usability or the price. My wife paid about $115 at Office Depot and we got back about $30 in rebates, so our final cost was around $85. Considering the time and trouble this unit saves me, it is a bargain.
