Ok, if you don't know Lovecraft, then you will get your first taste (yum..taste) through these two classics. Are the movies fantastic, great, a got to see...sure, if you are truly a horror buff, if not then wait for a rainy evening.
But really, these old classics are much more fun than the more modern versions (mainly Dunwich), you get much more atmosphere, the tension from the characters and ok, yes I will admit it, no heavy panting sexual scenes or naughty oh oh's...these classics are actually great for the younger audience, though I am sure they wouldn't enjoy as much since there is no fx of exploding heads or blowing up of body parts.
These are atmosphere movies, the ones that are still intelligent classics.

Am I going to tell you what the stories are about?
No. Go check out the flicks, go hit some Lovecraft stories and you will appreciate the movies more. (these are the kind of flicks that if you are told a bit, it is ruined for you...I like newcomers to Lovecraft to discover mainly Dunwich)
