Pros: It's fast, once it's warmed up.
Cons: Everything else, literally.
The Bottom Line: Best and only use: printing hundreds of pages of single-sided B&W text, period. A nightmare to configure and operate consistently.

| kek's Full Review: Samsung MICROLINE® ML-7300N Laser Printer |
I bought this printer for a high-production small office setting, dedicated to two networked Dell Pentium 4s running Windows 2000 and Office XP to produce large quantities of black and white documents. I was tired of the HP printers that don't network and thought I would try something new, plus the duplexing feature was important. This unit got a high review from PC World, which never lets me down...until now. This printer is a nightmare. It seems to be incompatible with current software as it runs better on Win 98 and not well on 2000. No upgraded drivers are available. If you go to tech support web page for help it says, I kid you not, "we are on vacation and will return in the fall." Emailed questions have not been answered as of September 28, 2001. Duplexing (2-sided printing) feature is wonderful, as long as you don't have to print more than 12 pages or so, after which it quits and needs to be restarted. Pages off the Internet quit after about the third page. Envelopes aren't taken up. The manual is not particularly helpful at troubleshooting or features other than a thorough explanation of all the menu features and defaults. Getting the network to recognize it took hours, more than any other printer we have bought (we currently have 9); the manual recommends you not try it unless you are a full-time LAN administrator, which was an important point the sales literature failed to mention. It won't work as a local printer and must be networked. But if all you have is yards and yards of basic black and white text to print and you don't care about 2-sided printing or any other feature, it's very fast. Bought it for $834 at Amazon. Replacement cartridge is very expensive also.
