Pros:Cheap, brews quick
Cons:Can burn your coffee
The Bottom Line: A small compact coffee maker that can get you by.
I needed a coffee maker for my office due the fact that I like flavored coffee and my co workers do not. At first I looked at the ones with everything but the kitchen sink but it was way out of my price range. I then began looking for a small coffee pot that could get the job done when I came across the Mr. Coffee Switch TF5 4 cup coffee maker. For $16 bucks I figured I really didn't have that much to lose if it didn't work out. I will say that it did perform much better than expected. It was pretty compact to fit in a small office. No drips or spills and was pretty quick to brew up. The only problems that I did encounter with this coffee maker was after awhile the coffee (about 2 cups or less) left in the pot would become scorched and tasted burned. The upside is that it does keep your coffee nice and hot just don't let it get below two cups though. Overall you cant expect all bells and whistles with a $16 coffee maker. However with the money I am saving from making my own gourmet coffee I will eventually buy the one with all the bells and whistles. It will tide you over in a pinch.
