The Bottom Line: You get what you pay for, a basic small coffee maker. Makes a small pot of coffee that is way cheaper than starbucks.
I bought the Mr. Coffee TF5 4-Cup Coffee Maker because I had a larger coffee maker and seemed to be wasting more coffee than I was drinking. Mr. Coffee TF5 4-Cup Coffee Maker was not very expensive and seemed to have all the features I needed in a coffee maker, which was simply to make coffee. I am not a high maintainced person so the basic features fit my needs just fine. Mr. Coffee TF5 4-Cup Coffee Maker has your usual features for a coffee maker, lighted on/off switch and pause and brew. The pause is only for a few seconds though just long enough to pour yourself a cup of Joe. It however does not automatically turn off or on, it is just has your basic on off switch. The light reminds you that it is still on. The glass container is marked with for the amount of cups of coffee you have. And having the carafe marked makes it easy to fill the coffee maker with precise amount of water needed to make the right amount of coffee. The brew basket lifts straight out of the machine which is great for cleaning and getting rid of and replacing the filters. It takes the four cup coffee filters. I really like that the warmer is stain resistant so that if you accidentally leave the coffee maker on that it won’t burn to the warmer. The Mr. Coffee TF5 4-Cup Coffee Maker does make the coffee pretty fast. It is not speedy but certainly does not take forever to get a cup. In the other reviews I noticed that they said the coffee was bland or bitter, I haven’t had this problem but I like creamer and sugar with my coffee and that probably makes a difference. I too have had some problems opening the lid but it seems to be getting a little better the more I use it. Mr. Coffee TF5 4-Cup Coffee Maker comes in black and white. I have the white just because all the other appliances I have are white. I paid around twenty dollars for the Mr. Coffee maker. Overall I got just what I bought, a basic coffee maker that is smaller than the one I had. I have not had any problems with it leaking or overfilling. The only thing I really do not like is that it does not turn off automatically but it is just the basic model.
