I was amazed by the way this Cub Cadet Chipper/Leaf Vacuum machine is easy to use,the easy way it sucks the leaves off your lawn and I was given compliments about the way my lawn looked with it's criss-cross patterns that I made going back and forth.

It took one inch branches pretty easy if you glide them in and not try to push it in hard. Go slow with the branches. I do recommend this machine for those with bigger gardens and properties, unless you have many trees or large amount of leaves in the fall.
This Cub Cadet Chipper/Leaf Vacuum has a 5.5 Tecumseh engine is a little noisy. The main part of this is from the shredder turbine that grinds everything up. Please use ear & eye protection when using this product, especially the chipper. To start this machine simply slide up the throttle lever on side of the engine, then push the injector 5 times to get gas in your carburetor. Then proceed to pull the rope pulley to start.
The gas usage is pretty good. I use it about an hour and the tank was 2/3's empty, the tank is 3 quarts don't know why they just didn't make it a full gallon. Make sure you do regular maintenance on it. I use mine frequently from March through November,I change my oil in it depending on how much I use it. For regular home owners I would suggest in the Spring before you start your yard work and again before leaf picking up.
The vacuum bag is a great feature especially when emptying it. This zipper bag unzips in a 3/4 circular style so you can empty it better with a better reach motion. You can put a tarp or a low end wheel barrow under it for easy discharge. Or just empty it in your garden or mulch bed.
The front of the Cub Cadet Chipper/Vacuum is very friendly for 2 reasons. One, the wheels can be locked to go straight ahead or unlocked to turn at any angle. Two, the front suction vent is adjustable for height whether it be a very plush lawn like mine (green & always over 4" all year round)or to 1" for those who cut way too short.
I also bought mine on sale at my Cub Cadet dealer for $649.00,I am very confident that I will get my monies worth out of this machine. Just by having the Tecumseh engine on it, makes me feel better. If you have many leaves in the fall and a lot of small branches, this could be what you are looking for.
To this update, I have found that it is very hard to start machine in the late fall or winter. You must unscrew the air filter compartment, take off the air filter and give it a couple sprays of Fast Start to get the machine going. I store mine in my shed but with the cold the oil still makes the engine harder to crank.
