Pros: Great buildable coverage, nice texture, convenient packaging
Cons: Price, can contribute to oiliness
The Bottom Line: Definitely give this a shot - try it out at the MAC counter first and ask for a sample to take home and try for a couple days.

| daintycake's Full Review: Mac Studio Stick Foundation SPF 15 |
I have tried every MAC foundation that is available and the Studio Stick is my favorite. That is not to say it is without fault. However, if I were to start using MAC foundation again the Studio Stick is the one I'd reach to first.
Product Info & Description MAC Studio Stick foundation is, as the name implies, a foundation that comes in a stick. It is a creamy foundation and you can apply directly to your face from the tube or with a foundation brush or sponge. MAC describes the foundation as a "smooth stick foundation with medium + coverage for a natural flaw-free finish. Stick system provides smooth twist-up action: precise application and fast, even touch-ups."
The Studio Stick is presently available in 20 shades and costs $29.00. Each stick holds 9 grams of product. It is available for purchase at any MAC counter, store, or online at their website http://www.maccosmetics.com.
My experience I was hesitant about using this product as I prefer my foundation to come in a compact. However, I found the stick system to be easy to use and extremely convenient for on the go touch ups as it does not require a sponge or a foundation brush. You can use your fingers to blend it in. I preferred to use the MAC foundation brush (#190) when applying.
My favorite aspect of this foundation is the coverage it provides. Coverage is buildable, which is great since my skin doesn't always require a heavy coverage. I find that I don't need very many layers to achieve a good level of coverage that provides a flawless finish. The creamy texture makes it really easy to blend and with 20 different shades avaialble it is easy to match to your skin.
The only negative complaint I have is that it does nothing to control any oiliness or shine, given it's creamy texture. This was okay for me because my skin is not that oily but girls with oily skin beware, this may not be the best product for you.
Overall, I really like this foundation. As I stated before it is my favorite of all MAC foundations. I loved it enough to use it on my wedding day and believe me, my skin was flawless the day of and it lasted all day.
