Dreamweaver is a what you see is what you get HTML editor. And amongst the others it is highly useful.
The main features are easily accessed and used easily. It does not need extra documentation as the Help site that comes with the program is highly useful. Also the reference libraries are real source and help for builders. A site manager comes also and helps you to maintain the site structure easily. FTP support is used with this manager. It is compatible with other Macromedia products such as Flash and Fireworks.
Also it allows users to extend the program by creating their own menus or items. The extension usage is an extreme use for developing a customized program. The extensions can be downloaded from the macromedia page and installed. You can create MXP(name of the extensions) files for your own needs.
