chad_lundgren's Full Review: Adobe Dreamweaver 4.0 Full Version for PC (DWW40D0...
I use Dreamweaver 4. I'm not in a hurry to upgrade to Dreamweaver MX.
Why? My number one pet peeve: take some HTML, and paste it into the graphical window, and Dreamweaver helpfully turns your angle brackets into ampersand codes, breaking your HTML. Does Dreamweaver think I'm teaching an HTML class? All the time? Dreamweaver 3 got this right: HTML was always HTML, you had to ask it to strip out HTML. MX does not fix this.
Previewing in multiple browsers is still buggy. Worst of all, the demo of MX I installed crashed numerous times in various situations. Then it crashed, implying that I had tried to extend the trial. I ignored this crash once (you learn to, with Dreamweaver) but after the 2nd or 3rd time I gave up in disgust and uninstalled it.
