Happy anniversary Mad Libs! Yes, its true. Mad Libs is celebrating its 40th anniversary and it wants you to be a part of it. Gather up you courage and your list of silly verbs, off-the-wall adjectives, and your wackiest nouns so you can finish/write some of the wackiest stories around.
If you never saw Mad Libs before, let me fill you in quickly (get it... fill you in... oh just forget it... if you didn;t get that joke you won't appreciate mad libs). Mad libs featured stories or quotes or famouse writings with missing words. As a game, one player would take control of the game pad and ask the other players for words; specifically nous, adjectives, and verbs. The player that controlled the game pad would right in the responses and then read back the story to the rest of the players. Ok, so its not much of a game, but it can be extremely funny. It can range from innocent stories when playing with children to extremely dirty stories when dealing with adults. Either way it is quite fun.
The 40th edition Mad Libs is actually available in two forms. The first is a desk calender. Every day is filled with a new quotes, cliches, lyrics, recipes, or stories. Each day you can fill in a mad lib by yourself or ask a co-worker to join in. The second version is the traditional game pad that is filled with favorites and ne mad libs.
