Being a college student, I have a lot of free time on my hands. I decided to bring me Xbox from home to pass the time away. I don't have much games for my system, but my roommate brought Madden NFL 2003 from his house. And wow I am so happy he did this.
First off, Madden is an overall great game. It's got great graphics, features, and gameplay. It's a breeze to learn the controls. It's a classic EA game.
Since my roommate played this game everyday at home before we got to college, he kicked my butt everytime we played. One feature this game has is Mini-camp, where you get to to drills of every aspect of the game: running, passing, defense, kicking, etc. It's great. A few drills and I was ready to go, and surprisingly, I finally won a game. Another thing my roommate and I do is have our own franchise. My school is in Philadelphia so he's an avid Eagles fan. However, being from NJ, I'm a big Giant fan. So it's fun taking control of our teams and building them up to be Super Bowl contenders.
Another great aspect is the realism. The faces of the players and their motions on the field are so realistic. It's like your actually Ray Lewis putting a big hit on Ricky Williams. The stadiums are very well defined. And the weather feature makes gameplay even more fun.
This is the type of sports game that you can play over and over again and not get bored and you will find yourself wanting to play again and again.
