The Genie Bottle is a standard item in most magic stores. It is sometimes marketed as The Chinese Bottle. Most versions you will find have a bottle that is a solid red. Lately, there are versions coming out in other colors such as blue, or even some which are multi-colored. None of these affect the trick. That is merely an asthetic choice about choosing what fits your performance best. The bottle is made of hard-plastic and has a long, narrow neck. A length of rope can be lowered into the neck of the bottle and removed without any restriction.
