The Bottom Line: It's a great saw with a lousy manual
This is my first CSM but I could not be happier. I bought mine at a big box store after reading the horror stories about shipping from Amazon. Out of the box everything was lined up - blade, fence, table, and pointers. The only thing I had to do was align the laser to the left side of the blade. It came from the factory aligned on the right edge. This is when you find that the manual is pretty bad. The description of the alignment process left a lot to be desired. Once I figured it out, it was easy to get lined up. When I make a cut I just put a pencil mark on the wood and put the laser line on top of the mark and cut. Works great.
The factory blade is a 65 tooth carbide blade and it's all I've used. Cut quality is excellent.
The dust collection bag is of little or no value. It relies on the blade throwing the dust into a slot at the back of the saw. I hooked up a shop vac and it works lots better. The saw needs a lot of cleaning as it has many nooks and crannies.
I bolted the saw to my shop workbench and its nice and stable. It is heavy. I wouldn't want to take this out in a truck very often. I would also worry about table adjusting mechanism getting banged up. It hangs out in the open.
I've made limited use of the miter and bevel functions but they are easy to operate.
