The Mandarin Oriental is a true gem. I have experienced this type of sensible luxury only in Asia, so I was pleasantly surprised by this find.
I find Miami and South Beach to be a cheesy, abnoxously foul city, yet this hotel makes you forget that. It is secluded on the quiet and serene Brickel Key, and you will find that the service is excellent, the dining superb, and although it lacks a proper beach, it makes up for it with fantastic Thai beach beds.
